FROM SENSORS TO CITIZENS: PUBLIC WARNING IN THE 21st CENTURY
May 15-17, 2003
McLean, VA
From Sensors to Citizens: Public Warning in the 21st Century was the
theme of the first annual conference and trade show sponsored by the Partnership
for Public Warning. America is at risk from terrorism, accidents and natural
disasters. More timely and effective public warning systems could save
lives and property. This conference provided participants with information
on the current state of the nation’s major warning systems and an
opportunity to identify ways that government and industry can work together
to improve America’s warning capability. This is the only national
conference dedicated to the issues, technologies and policies associated
with public alert and warning.
